Formula 56: Liver Strength Side Dish

Uses: Liver Stagnation, Liver Weakness
Comments:
1/2 cup quartered, sliced Beets
1/2 cup sliced fresh Burdock roots
1/2 cup sliced fresh Dandelion roots and greens
1 tsp. Turmeric powder
1/4 tsp. black pepper Pinch salt
1 Tbsp. clarified butter (ghee) or olive oil
1/4 cup water
Saute the turmeric, pepper and salt in the butter or oil for 1- 2 minutes in a covered saucepan. Add the vegetables and the water and simmer, covered, for approximately 15 minutes or until the vegetables are tender. Serve warm.
